Favorite Song written by you:  I Love You

Favorite Song by artist other than you:  The-Dream – I Luv Your Girl

Favorite Album of All Time:  Enter the Dru…The-Dream’s Love/Hate is taking over my preferences though.

Other Talents:  Record engineering.  Vocal production.  Eating pussy.

How did you choose your name?

I used to drink….a lot.  LOL  At 17, if I didn’t have a stolen bottle of Hypnotiq on me, I had a stolen bottle of Rumpleminz on me, lol.  But Hypnotiq was my shit.  Also, the music I produce is often said to make you feel like you were flying or hypnotized…so, it was only right.

How would you define your style?

My singing style is gritty and powerful, yet nice and subtle at the same time.  I love the notes in jazz chords, so that’s where I like to take my vocals to.  As far as production….all I can really say about it is that…I make some weird ass shit.  But it’s hot. ßperiod

How did you get down with Screwface?

Me, Traxx, and Z all worked at Sam Ash.  We all made beats.  And we all had the skills to make something happen.  With Z’s industry knowledge and vision, Traxx’s determination, and my dreams of becoming the next Pharrell, we formed  Screwface.  And that’s how I got down.  I AM Screwface.

What would you like to be doing in 10 years?

Chillin on my yacht with my son, helping him make his first beat while wating for my beautiful wife to bring me my shrimp! ;)

What do you think about the state of the industry?

The music industry is fine. Hip-Hop is what’s having the problem right now, because ‘niggas’ discovered the internet…. It’s all Myspace’s fault.  That’s why no one is getting sales.  It’s also the reason the industry is completely FLOODED with beat-makers a.k.a. ‘not-producers’.  Anyone can say “I think I want to make beats...let me go on Limewire and download FRUITY LOOPS, throw this loop here, this sample there…. some drums…and wow!  I’m a talented musical being!”  No, dick, you just clicked a beat.  Try not using a sample for the next 400 tracks and see how musically talented you are.  My 10 year old nephew can click beats together...he could be the next Polow Da Don…

Why should people buy your album?

So they can have something to listen to that doesn’t suck.

What inspires you to write music?

You know what…I would have to say that the day inspires me.  My current state of being.  I won’t write anything unless it just comes right to me, or if someone wants me to feature on their joint.

How do you want to be remembered when you retire?

I want people to think… “Damn, that nigga made some hot ass weird ass music.”  I want to be remembered through the kids today who will be influenced by my style.  That’s why we won’t ever even be able to forget about people like Michael Jackson and R. Kelly.  The carbon copies make you say “Ooh, he’s the new MJ.” And you can’t forget the the old MJ, if there’s a new one.  Makes sense?
